How the app is laid out: sidebar, command bar and themes

Seven core areas in the sidebar, a command bar for jumping straight to a ticker, and controls for theme and density. Every screen carries a primary action, a secondary action and the data, and nothing else.

The app is intentionally calm. Numbers use tabular figures (every digit the same width, so columns line up and are easy to compare), nothing flashes at you, and the headings tell you what matters before the small print does. Every screen has a primary action, a secondary action, and the data. Nothing more.

The seven core areas:

  • Market - index overview, sectors, breadth (how many stocks are rising versus falling) and regime context (what kind of market we're in overall)
  • Universe - searchable table of every covered ticker with filters
  • My Portfolio - your holdings, performance vs benchmark, and drift (how far your mix has wandered from where you set it)
  • Top 10 - the monthly conviction list
  • Smart Money - what insiders and tracked investors are doing
  • Compare - side-by-side ticker analysis
  • Alerts - your subscriptions and digest preferences

Command bar

Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) anywhere in the app to:

  • Search any ticker by symbol or company name
  • Jump to any chart or page
  • Change how often your digest email arrives, in two keystrokes

Theme and density

  • Dark mode by default; light mode in the avatar menu
  • Comfortable density (roomier rows) on mobile, compact on desktop
  • Respects your OS-level preference if you set it to "System"
