Free, Core, Analyst or Pro: which plan you need

The methodology is explained on every tier, Free included, so you can judge the approach before paying anything. What is actually gated, how the three kinds of limit behave, and how to work out which tier fits the way you work.

Four tiers: Free, Core, Analyst and Pro. The current prices and the full feature matrix are generated from the app's own plan configuration rather than maintained by hand, and they show up on the marketing site's pricing section and on the upgrade screen in the app. Until the marketing site opens to the public, the app is the place to read the live numbers.

This page is about the shape of the difference, which is the part a table doesn't explain well.

What is never gated

The methodology is explained at every tier, including Free: what each pillar measures, every input behind a score with its date, how the backtest was run and where it did badly. How the pillars combine into one number is ours. You should be able to judge whether the approach is sound before paying anything, and you can't do that from a marketing page.

The limits on what we do with your data are also the same at every tier. There is no plan on which we sell less of your information, because there is no plan on which we sell any.

How gating actually works

Three kinds of limit, and they behave differently.

Volume limits

How many companies you can watch, follow, or read in full per period. The most common reason to move up a tier: you outgrew a number, not a feature.

Timing

Free sees the Top 10 two editions behind. The research is the same, the timing is not.

Whole features

A few things are simply absent on lower tiers, including the AI connection and the deeper analysis tooling.

Working out which one you need

Start on Free. It isn't a trial that expires, and it exists so you can decide whether the methodology convinces you before money is involved.

Move up when a number gets in your way, not in anticipation of it. The most common signal is the watchlist filling up or running out of full analyses partway through a research session.

There is no trial on the paid tiers

A paid plan bills from day one. The Free tier is the evaluation path, which is why it includes the whole methodology and real, if limited, use of the product rather than a locked preview. See Refunds and the Free tier.

Connecting your own AI

Every tier can connect Returnolio to an AI assistant, Free included. The weekly allowance scales by tier, and so does what the connector can reach: it answers with exactly the data your plan already includes. See Connect your AI (MCP).

Changing plans

Upgrades, downgrades, billing cycle switches and cancellation all run through the customer portal linked from your account menu. See Billing and subscriptions.

Educational and proprietary. This explains what our research does, not the exact formula behind it, and it is not personalised investment advice. See the full disclaimer.
